Color Discipline

The richest wardrobes lean on a narrow palette: navy, charcoal, camel, white, and black, plus one accent at a time.

The reason is simple. An outfit in three coordinated shades looks chosen. An outfit in five competing colors looks accidental, whatever it cost. A tight palette also means almost everything in your closet mixes — so fewer pieces stretch into more outfits.

When in doubt, build the whole look from one color family. It is the easiest way to look deliberate without spending a cent more.
