Beyond the Five: The Edit

The second habit is editing. Stylists approach their own wardrobes with the same editorial eye they use with clients, keeping only pieces that earn their space through regular wear.

Apply the one-year rule: if you have not worn something in twelve months, it does not belong in your closet. Sentimental exceptions are fine, but store them separately from your active wardrobe.

They also practice restraint with accessories. One quality watch outshines five trendy bracelets, and one beautiful bag beats three cheap ones.
