LESSON 6 · Potty Training Done Right
What Actually Works
The most reliable fix is the simplest: no poop, no problem. Pick up waste within a minute or two of every bathroom break, and watch your dog closely outdoors. Pair that with a rock-solid "leave it" cue.

You'll see products you add to food — often containing yucca, parsley, or a meat-tenderizer additive — marketed to make stool less appealing. Be honest about them: results are hit or miss, and they only work in homes where every dog gets dosed. Treat them as a minor helper, never the whole plan.
