Modern behavioral science shows that dogs learn through consequences and associations, not social rank. A behavior that produces a reward gets repeated. A behavior that produces nothing fades.

Being a good leader does not require intimidation. It requires clarity and consistency. Set rules, enforce them fairly, reward the behavior you want, and remove rewards for behavior you do not. That is effective leadership in any species.
