It's Not Dominance
Forget the idea that a puller is trying to be the boss. Most pulling is simpler: a dog doing dog things, chasing the next smell or sight. Treating it as a power struggle leads to yanking and frustration, which teaches nothing. Read the leash instead — tension means "too excited to think", and that is your cue to stop and let the dog reset, not to punish.
