Fit Matters
Gear only helps if it fits. A loose harness twists and rubs; a tight one chafes the armpits and makes walks something to dread. Check fit with the two-finger rule — you should slide two fingers flat under any strap, no more.

A head halter steers the dog by the nose: where the head turns, the body follows. It gives gentle control over a strong puller, but most dogs hate it at first, so introduce it slowly with treats over several days before relying on it.
