Make the Dig Zone Stick

A dig zone only works if you keep feeding it. Re-bury rewards every few days so the spot stays the most interesting dirt in the yard — a dead, empty pit teaches your dog to look elsewhere. Frame it with landscape timbers or a low border so the edges are obvious. Catch a wrong-spot hole early, walk your dog over, and bury a treat while it watches. With repeats, the lesson lands: digging here pays, digging there doesn't.
