The High-Probability Moments

Puppies usually need to go after meals, naps, play, water, and crate time. If you are already outside during those windows, accidents become much harder to rehearse.

Don't trust your memory for those windows. Set phone alarms for each one, and keep treats in your pocket from morning to night. Every time your puppy goes outside, the reward lands the instant they finish. You are building a chain of good associations that makes the grass far more appealing than the carpet ever could be.
