Regression Is Normal

Potty training is not a straight line. A clean puppy can regress after routine changes, illness, guests, growth spurts, or a skipped trip outside.

When regression hits, go back to the last schedule that worked. If your puppy was reliable on two-hour trips and slipped after you stretched to three, drop back to two hours for another week. You are not starting over. You are reinforcing a foundation that just needed a little more time to set.
