Why Stand Matters

Most owners skip stand because sit and down feel more useful. Then they try to brush a sitting dog's belly, or hold one still for a vet, and the dog keeps lying back down.

In the show ring, stand is the main pose a judge evaluates. But the real reason to teach it lives at home.
