Conformation, rally, breed evaluation, and therapy testing
Stand is a graded requirement in conformation showing, in many rally obedience exercises, and in breed evaluations. Therapy-dog tests also check that a dog will stand calmly for a stranger's touch. For a cue most pet owners never train, that is a surprising amount of formal demand.
