Take It Outside

When the name is solid indoors, walk it out the door in stages. Start in the driveway, then the sidewalk, then a quiet edge of the park — each step a little harder than the last.

Keep the name crisp: say it once to get the eyes, then give the cue. Repeating, nagging, or stacking it on every command turns the name into noise.
