Why Back Matters

A dog underfoot at the stove is a tripping hazard. A dog crowding the front door turns every arrival into chaos. A dog leaning on your legs while you carry groceries is a fall waiting to happen.

Back also teaches something most dogs never learn: personal space is a two-way street.

A dog that has never been asked to give space will crowd, lean, and push — not from rudeness, but because no one ever showed them that moving away can be the right answer. They only know how to come closer.
