Be A Tree

Start somewhere boring. Keep walking while the leash stays slack. The instant it goes tight, stop and become a tree — still, silent, planted.

Now add surprise. Turn left, turn right, slow down, speed up, double back. Each change forces the dog to track your movement instead of pulling ahead on autopilot.
