When the Lure Stalls
Most dogs that struggle with spin make the same few mistakes — and they are easy to spot.
- Lure too high: the dog rears up instead of turning. Keep the treat at nose height.
- Circle too wide: the dog drifts off and loses the line. Tighten it slightly.
- Moving too fast: the dog gives up mid-turn. Slow down until they can follow.
Fix the cause, not the dog. Adjust your hand and the spin reappears.
