DNS Security Matters

Encrypted DNS hides the domain lookup from your local network and ISP, but it does not prove the answer you get back is genuine. That is where DNSSEC comes in.

DNSSEC adds a cryptographic signature to DNS responses, so your device can verify the answer really came from the legitimate domain. Without it, a sophisticated attacker could intercept your DNS query for your bank and send you to a convincing phishing page that looks identical to the real one.

Major providers like Cloudflare and Google support both encrypted DNS and DNSSEC, giving you more privacy and authenticity with a simple settings change.
