Almost nothing — once charged, superconducting magnets run without electricity.
MRI magnets use superconducting wire cooled to minus 269 degrees Celsius with liquid helium. At that temperature, electrical resistance drops to zero, so current flows indefinitely. The main cost is replenishing the helium coolant.
