Technology as Selection Pressure
Screens, artificial light, processed food, and sedentary lifestyles create new pressures. People with genetic resistance to myopia, obesity, and circadian disruption may have advantages. Technology redirects evolution; it does not stop it.

CRISPR could let humans direct their own evolution for the first time. Rather than waiting millions of years, we could edit genes within a generation. The question is no longer whether we evolve but who decides the direction.
