Globalization carries cultural implications that spark fierce debate. American brands, music, and values spread worldwide, raising fears that local traditions and identities are being erased.
But cultural flows run in multiple directions. Korean pop conquered global markets, Japanese food went universal, and Indian yoga studios appear in every American city. Globalization does not impose one culture — it creates fusions and exchanges.
The truth sits between the extremes. Communities can engage with the global economy while deliberately keeping the traditions that define who they are.
