LESSON 1 · Live With Intention

Beyond the Cushion

Formal meditation practice — sitting quietly with focused attention — builds the foundation. But the real test is whether mindfulness transfers to the moments that matter: difficult conversations, stressful deadlines, and emotional triggers that arise throughout daily life.

Informal mindfulness practices bridge this gap. Mindful walking means noticing the sensation of each footstep. Mindful eating means tasting each bite without distraction. Mindful transitions mean pausing between activities to reset attention rather than carrying the previous activity's mental residue into the next one.
