One event, conflicting accounts
Kurosawa's Rashomon (1950) retells a single crime through several witnesses who each contradict the others, with no version confirmed as true. The film popularized the idea so widely that 'Rashomon effect' is now a standard term for the same event remembered in incompatible ways.
