The Concept

Inception (2010) follows Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio), a thief who steals secrets from people while they dream. Then he is hired for the opposite job: inception. Instead of stealing a thought, he must plant one so deep that the target believes he thought of it himself. To pull it off, the team builds a dream inside a dream inside a dream.

Time bends with depth. Go one dream deeper and the clock slows down dramatically. So an action scene that lasts seconds in the upper level can stretch into hours further down. That gap is the film's engine: as the team dives lower, every layer above is racing toward disaster on a faster clock.
