Emotions Behind Words
Emotions show up in how people speak, not just in the words they choose. When someone speaks faster, they may be anxious. When they slow down and pick words carefully, they are handling something sensitive. Sudden shifts in volume, pitch, or pace are emotional signals hiding in plain sight.

Gaps between words and body can be revealing. Someone saying "fine" with clenched hands may not be fine. Treat the gap as a reason to ask gently, not as proof you already know the truth.
