The Permission Approach

A safe entry point is asking permission: "Would it be helpful if I shared an observation about how the team meeting went?" This gives your boss the choice to opt in, which prepares them to receive input. If they say no, respect it and try again another time. If they say yes, they have already committed to listening, which changes the quality of the conversation.
