LESSON 5 · The Feedback Loop

Equal Ground Rules

Peer feedback runs without the power dynamics of a boss-to-report relationship, but it brings its own challenges. With no formal authority, your feedback can feel presumptuous. Who are you to critique an equal?

Open with a collaborative frame, not a critique. Try "Can I share something I think might help us both?" or "I noticed something I would want someone to tell me." Framing it as a shared win lowers defensiveness before the real point lands.
