The Email You Dread Writing
A client is unhappy, a deadline slipped, or a colleague crossed a line. Difficult emails matter because too aggressive and too apologetic both create damage.

The core problem is emotional. When the stakes are high, your brain switches from "communicate clearly" to "protect myself." That is why difficult emails tend to be either too long (over-explaining out of guilt) or too short (hiding behind brevity to avoid confrontation).
