LESSON 5 · Parenting Your Teenager
The Decision Framework
When the moment comes, a simple checklist beats guesswork. Step in when physical safety is at risk, when there is bullying or abuse, when your teen asks for help, or when the problem clearly exceeds what they can manage at their age. Step back when the struggle is uncomfortable but not dangerous, when they haven't asked, or when you notice your own anxiety driving the urge to rescue. The same struggle that frustrates them today is often the one that builds the skill they'll lean on tomorrow.
