Weight Is a Feeling
Your weight isn't what you think it is. The number on the scale isn't measuring how much matter you contain — that's your mass, and it never changes.

This distinction matters because the upward push is what you actually feel. Stand on a scale and it reads the normal force. In everyday life, that force equals gravity. But change the situation — a roller coaster drop, a diving elevator — and they diverge dramatically.
