LESSON 5 · The Daily Voice Warm-Up

The 3-Minute Sequence

Run this for three to five minutes after heavy voice use:

  • Gentle humming (1 min) — hum at an easy, comfortable pitch. No projection, no push. Just soft vibration to keep blood moving and ease the intensity down.
  • Descending slides (1 min) — slide from your mid-range down to your lowest easy pitch, again and again. This eases the folds back toward their shorter, slacker resting length.
  • Yawning and sighing (1 min) — big, exaggerated yawns open the throat and let the laryngeal muscles unclench after holding tension all day.
