LESSON 5 · Command Any Room
When the Room Fights You
You have prepared your talk, warmed up your voice, and practiced your delivery. Then you walk into the room and discover it is an acoustic nightmare: echoing gymnasium, roaring air conditioning, open-plan space with no walls, or a room so dead that sound seems to evaporate. Most speakers panic.

Bad acoustics are not rare. Most real-world speaking environments were not designed for speech. Conference rooms with glass walls create echo. Restaurants absorb voice. Outdoor venues scatter sound.
