LESSON 6 · Escape Toxic Patterns
Choosing Yourself
The deepest shift is realizing that choosing yourself is not choosing against others. That false binary keeps people-pleasers trapped: either I take care of them, or I take care of me.
The healthiest people are both generous and boundaried. They help willingly and say no clearly. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and keeping yours full is a responsibility, not an indulgence.
The people who truly care about you do not want your performance. They want your authenticity — your honest "no" over your resentful "yes."
