When To Wait
Sometimes patience is the smart move. Hold off after layoffs, while a new manager is still building capital, or right after you switch teams. Your evidence may be too thin or the room too tight. There is no universal perfect time: read the room before the script.

Bad timing costs more than a no; it can signal poor judgment. During a rough stretch, build the case quietly: log wins, gather feedback, and line up proof. When conditions turn, you are first in line with a stronger file while others are just starting.
