LESSON 6 · The Feedback Playbook
Ask For The Meeting
Once a quarter, request a dedicated feedback meeting with your manager — separate from any performance review, on its own invite. Frame it plainly: 'I'd like 30 minutes on my development. What should I work on next?'
Walk in with your own assessment first. Sharing your self-evaluation before you hear theirs makes the whole conversation more honest. Then take notes and send a short follow-up email — so the meeting becomes a record, not a fading memory.
