Virtual Meeting Presence

On video, your camera, lighting, and audio are your presence. A ring light and a decent microphone pay for themselves fast.

Look at the camera, not the screen, so it reads as eye contact. Unmute to contribute, then mute again. Virtual presence takes more deliberate effort than in person, but the payoff is the same. Before an important call, record thirty seconds and watch it back, then fix anything off before it costs you a first impression.
