Chest Resonance Exercises
Chest resonance gives your voice warmth and depth. Place your hand on your sternum and hum at your lowest comfortable pitch. You should feel vibration under your hand. If you do not, lower your pitch slightly or speak a bit louder. That vibration is a sympathetic sensation from a lower, relaxed vocal setup; the main acoustic shaping still happens in the vocal tract.
Now practice reading aloud while keeping that chest vibration. Start with short sentences and build up to paragraphs. Notice how the voice sounds fuller and more authoritative than speaking from the throat alone. Chest resonance is not about pitch — it is about finding a relaxed lower coordination that creates warmth without forcing.
