Build A Real Plan
This habit formed over thousands of generations; it will not vanish in a weekend. A plan beats willpower.
First, map every trigger. Note the items, spots, and people that set off guarding. A dog that guards bones from kids but not adults needs a very different plan than one guarding the couch from everyone.
Then film short clips each week. Slowed-down video shows tiny shifts you miss in the moment — a softer tail, a faster return to eating — so you can prove progress and know when to push closer.
