Fading the Lure

Food in your hand was only ever training wheels. After about ten clean stands, drop the treat.

Keep the same forward gesture with an empty, flat palm — the hand moves exactly where the lure used to go, so the motion already means "stand" to your dog. Reward from your other hand or a pocket after the feet plant.

Most dogs follow the empty hand within a session or two, because you changed nothing but the food.
