Your Shake Checklist

Work these steps in order, a few minutes at a time:

• Closed fist at chest height — wait for a paw, don't lure it
• Mark the touch the instant the paw hits your hand, then feed
• Swap to an open palm once the fist version is reliable
• Add "shake" only when the paw comes without prompting
• Grow the hold one second at a time, up to five

Nail each rung before climbing the next. Rushing is the one thing that stalls shake.
