Higher Than Expected

Most people say their recorded voice sounds higher-pitched, thinner, and oddly nasal. The recording is not lying — it is accurate. What you are missing is the bone-conducted bass your brain normally adds in.

Here is the twist: that thinner recorded voice is the only voice anyone else has ever heard. They never received your private bass channel, so nothing about the recording surprises them. There is no shock on their end — to them, it is simply how you sound.
